How to Build a Personal Site
Home on the internet, Mona Lisa & 6ix9ine, 100 rupee coin & many more...
Hi 👋 Prado here
3 Things I thought worth sharing with y’all
1. Why everyone should have an online home
We all deserve to have a home on the internet. A place where we are free to talk about anything we want without worrying about getting banned.
A place where we can document anything we want.
My personal goal was to have a footprint on the internet.
A place where you can find me forever :)
This is our turf. Our own universe 🚀
Here’s how you can create one:
There are multiple ways to do it. Code, No-Code, Template-editing, etc.
Sites like Wix, Squarespace makes it easier with simple drag and drop.
Here’s how my site was built.
I use WordPress. but before that let’s get to the very start of this.
Buy a Domain (Mine is from Namesilo)
Set up a host (This is the most important part)
There are host that cost 60 rupees to 600 rupees a month (select accordingly)
Add WordPress
Start editing.
Mine is from Scratch and I took inspiration from over 20 sites :)
Things you should have on your site (Only if you want)
About you :)
Things you want to share (Blogs, Videos, Pictures, Podcasts, Work experience, etc) Remember they’ll be read by your grandchildren ❤️
Newsletter (the newsletter is a must)
Inspiration (Mine is called Juice)
What inspired you, fav books and articles, memes, interesting links, quotes, etc.
Every person has a different goal behind their website.
What’s yours?
