3 Things I thought worth sharing with y’all

1. How did I go from Mindless scrolling to Mindful Scrolling

I’m currently a youth advisor at a university in the Netherlands. They are working on a app that’ll help young people understand their values and how much social media usage resonate with those values.

I took a personality test and got those values (check the above picture)

Then I started screenshoting things I shared on social media + things I watched and consumed.

Then I started connecting them with my interests. Then connecting interests with values.

Added more interests that I have not talked about in this week but did in previous weeks.

Two things I learned while I was doing this:

There are some values of mine that I haven’t spoken about for a while (like Patriotism, Climate Change, etc)
I’ve spent lots of time on mindless scrolling hub like IG reels and YT shorts where I was unable to extract anything useful in the amount of time I spent.
If I could have spent those 30mins watching a documentary, I could have gotten a story for the StoryCards.
Best part was figuring out what are my values, what are my interests and what am I sharing and consuming.

I’m screenshotting everything.

Accountability is the key.
