Essay of the week - Hangman
Have you ever played Hangman? It was one of my favourite childhood games ever. Hangman and Eminem were my first few english teachers ❤️
Okay Prado, but why are we talking about hangman today?
Well, I’ve been going to lots of meetups, conferences, after parties and one of the common things happening to me is that people are starting to recognising me from my Twitter.
Please Note: They recognise or introduce me as someone who has 20k+ followers on Twitter rather than someone who writes interesting stuff or talk about something specific i’ve written.
Trust me I have no problems with this. I sometimes enjoy the dopamine it triggers when frens recognise me through my Twitter and wants to click a picture or something.
Here’s what I hate about this.
FAME.
I neither have a face for fame nor the perfect set of teeth.
Fame is something I’ve written about before too 👇
Fame is a game.
Fame is a hangman game.
Everytime you say something that someone don’t like, you get a strike like in the game of hangman.
Share a different perspective than masses and you will be cancelled soon enough.
Conclusion:
My goal for this essay is talk about fame and use the hangman analogy.
Not everyone plays the fame game. I love this explanation 👇
All I’m saying is that choose Munger Fame. that’s all.
We don’t want to play the hangman in real life.
P.S: I got this hangman analogy from the song “Hangman by Dave”
These were the lyrics:
They say that fame is a game and it's true 'cause if you say the wrong word then everybody wants to hang man.
Love that song. Go listen to it.
