Life's lines of closeness

Hi šŸ‘‹Ā PradoĀ here

3 Things I thought worth sharing with y’all

1. A picture says more than 1000 words ✨

Now and then I visit this little piece of art created by the Olivia de Recat

A picture says 1000 words. This one probably broke all the record šŸš€

Relationships in a single picture

ā€œCloseness Lines Over Timeā€

I’ve been thinking about this one question a lot.

We always spend time figuring out where we want to be in 5-10 years, but have you ever spent time figuring out who you want to be with?

In the TV series Suits, Harvey Specter shares with Jessica why he changed his mind and didn’t leave the firm and take the job elsewhere. I’m paraphrasing.

ā€œBefore I answer where I want to be in 5 years, I realised I should answer who do I want to be withā€

Have you ever tried answering that question?

It’s very hard to find people

  • who genuinely care for you,

  • works their butt off,

  • always curious,

  • vibe with you,

  • share interesting moments,

  • extremely positive,

  • like-hearted ā¤ļø

If you ever find them, don’t let them go.

Here’s what I want you to do right now:-

Make a list of people you’d like to be in close touch with 5-10 years from now.

Send them this message:-

ā€œHey *name*
Just wanted to drop by and check if you are doing well.
And also share that I’ve been spending some time figuring out where I want to be in 5-10 years and realised I should be answering who I want to be with or who I want to stay in touch with for the next 5-10 years?
And your name was one of the few that popped in my mind
Stay in touchā€

Imagine you getting this message from someone.

I’d effing blush and shit (even if a guy sends me this lol)

Cause you are choosing a person. You are sending them a sugarcube, a purpose, a promise, you are telling them I got your back.

I dare you to send this message to 10 people (Can be your bestie, business partner, Twitter friend, parents, dog)

GO.

Conclusion:

Relationships are very important. The often you stay in touch with them the better it gets. People change over time, we all do but that does not mean we need to forget them all.

If you never stay in touch with them, how will you surround yourself with them?
