Essay of the week

I was confused this Wednesday about what to write for the essay of the week.

I realised I have nothing to say. I know nothing.

This is not an April fool’s prank haha. It’s hard to come up with interesting things every week. I didn’t want to break the streak but also didn’t want to write something that’s not worth reading.

So I shared the 10 things I found this week.

Thanks for understanding y’all. Enjoy the rest of the newsletter.

Cheers šŸ™

Update: I’m also taking this newsletter back to Friday. You will receive the weekly newsletter on Friday and not on Wednesday. I’m able to process things better when I have an entire week to think about a topic than just 2 days after the weekend.

10 Interesting things for you šŸ™Œ

1. The current thing (Blog)

2. Something from my TwitteršŸ‘‡

  • Interesting people are interesting not because they read interesting things but because they connect interesting dots. (Tweet)

  • Power is a dangerous thing. It attracts the worst and corrupts the best. (Tweet)

3. This is probably the most interesting thing I found this entire week

There is a group called ā€œBetween musicā€ and they make music underwater. Watch this šŸ‘‡ wait for that 1.48 mark.

4. This best motivational video ever (Just do it by Shia LaBeouf)

5. Interesting Human of the week:- Teddy Roosevelt’s diary entry from the day both his wife and mother died in 1884.

10. Quote of the week:

  • Look, if you’re an average person, you make gifts ā€œthat society specifies in advance,ā€ but if you’re an artist, you give gifts that basically nobody asked for. And so, ā€œthere is no way for the artist to be at peace with his work or with the society that accepts it.ā€ - Becker

  • "You have to know how to accept rejection and reject acceptance." — Ray Bradbury
